@SLTJoe I'm the same. I actually even had it as one of my placement aims for a placement which did help as I needed to tackle it head on. It's still the worst part of my job tbh, I just can't seem to lose that anxiety. It is doable though, you will find what works for you x

@SLT_Francesca Yes I've been researching for a while ☺️ looking at starting a Animal Assisted Therapy course soon too. They can't be trained until 18 months old at least, so have a while to plan. Especially as haven't even got the dog yet 🤣 thanks so much for the websites x
Do any #SLPeeps or #AHP do anything with animals in their therapy? Animal assisted therapy, dog in clinic/school, etc? Looking into therapy dogs and the benefits of animals as part of therapy and interested to hear peoples' experiences. #speechandlanguagetherapists#petsastherapy
@SLT_Francesca This is great to hear. I'm looking at getting a dog with the view they will become a therapy dog. Really want to bring it into my sessions in some way.
Insanely excited to have been offered (and accepted) a Band 6 SaLT job working with children and YP with complex needs 🥳 still can't believe it! Big thanks to all the twitter #AHP for all your advice and interview tips. A fabulous #mySLTday ☺️
