🚨TWO Venezuelan doctors… Dr. Ezequiel Veliz and Dr. Rubeliz Bolivar… were detained by ICE agents, in South Texas this month.
So yeah, let’s drop the “worst of the worst” narrative.
Can we truly start our lives over again? Yes! The Lord’s response, so full of love, fills our hearts with hope. No matter how weighed down we are by pain or sin: the crucified One carries all these burdens with us and for us. No matter how discouraged we are by our own weaknesses: it is precisely then that God manifests His strength, the God who has raised Christ from the dead in order to give life to the world. Each one of us can experience the freedom of new life that comes from faith in the Redeemer. #ApostolicJourney #Algeria https://t.co/jXvstS86NB
One of the more painful hurts in medicine is when a patient asks for a different doctor.
To all the young clinicians out there: You will not be the right doctor for every patient. This does not mean you're a bad physician. Do not build your identity on one transfer of care.
This fundraiser aims to raise at least $10,000 to cover legal fees, potential bond costs, and essential expenses for Ezequiel and his husband during this difficult time. Please consider sharing or donating if you can your help can make a real difference. https://t.co/ol0P1UqazZ
I’m the Director of the EM Sub-I at Hackensack in NJ. Could you help me out by sharing this post and telling your rising M4’s? We offer incredible diversity and acuity as one of the top 10 busiest ED’s in the country!
MASSIVE PROTEST IN ROME TODAY
Protestors in Rome carried a massive symbolic shroud, inscribed with the names of more than 21,000 Palestinian children killed by Israel.
🚨 FOR IMMEDIATE AWARENESS — BRING DR. BIBI AND MILENA HOME 🚨
Dr. Rubeliz “Bibi” Bolivar is not just a physician.
She is a mother.
She is a wife.
She is an Emergency Medicine resident serving one of the most underserved communities in the United States.
She is a public health advocate who has dedicated her life to caring for others.
And today, she was detained — alongside her 5-year-old daughter, Milena.
Dr. Bibi has followed the rules. She has legal authorization to work in the United States. She has committed herself to serving the Rio Grande Valley, where physicians are urgently needed.
Milena is a child.
She belongs at home with her mother — not in detention.
This is not just about one doctor.
This is about a physician who chose to serve where others will not.
This is about a mother and her daughter being separated from safety and stability.
This is about a community losing someone who shows up every day to care for others.
At Project IMG, we have known Dr. Bibi for years. She has been a leader of PIMG Latino since 2022. We have worked with her closely. We have seen her compassion, her integrity, and her dedication firsthand.
She is exactly the kind of physician our healthcare system depends on.
We stand with Dr. Bibi.
We stand with Milena.
We stand with their family.
🛑 We demand:
• Immediate release of Dr. Bibi and her daughter, Milena
• Full transparency on the basis of their detention
• Protection for immigrant physicians serving underserved communities
South Texas needs her.
Her patients need her.
Milena needs her mother.
Bring Dr. Bibi and Milena home. Both of them.
God does not bless any conflict. Anyone who is a disciple of Christ, the Prince of Peace, is never on the side of those who once wielded the sword and today drop bombs. Military action will not create space for freedom or times of #Peace, which comes only from the patient promotion of coexistence and dialogue among peoples.
Funded two-year research position is available, focusing on cancer cell therapy in lymphoma and multiple myeloma. This position is open to candidates who do not require visa sponsorship. Please feel free to DM with any questions! @Inside_TheMatch
𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴:
Physicians are being sidelined. Patients are paying the price.
A coalition of major U.S. medical organizations is sounding the alarm on visa delays and administrative holds affecting international medical graduates (IMGs).
📉 The impact is real:
🔹 23% of U.S. physicians are foreign-trained
🔹 64% serve in underserved areas
🔹 21 million Americans rely on them for care
Yet, prolonged visa processing and adjudication delays are:
❌ Forcing physicians out of training programs
❌ Disrupting patient care
❌ Worsening the physician shortage
❌ Hurting rural and underserved communities the most
🩺 These are not just immigration issues, they are public health crises.
📢 The ask is clear:
✅ Expedite physician visa processing
✅ Create national interest exemptions
✅ End unnecessary administrative delays
America cannot afford to lose doctors to bureaucracy.

This is unacceptable on multiple levels.
Yes, national security matters, but indiscriminately delaying visa renewals for physicians who have already been living and practicing in the U.S. for years makes no sense. Blocking new physicians from these 39 countries only deepens the damage.
This is not just an immigration issue, it is a direct hit to patient care in America.
Many of these doctors serve in medically underserved areas, where wait times are already long and access is fragile. When they are suddenly pulled out of the system, it is U.S. citizens who pay the price with delayed care, missed diagnoses, and worsening outcomes.
I have lived this reality. I went through prolonged administrative processing twice. During my absence, my patients in North Dakota were the ones who suffered.
We cannot claim to address a physician shortage while simultaneously sidelining the very doctors keeping the system afloat.
There must be a clear, immediate exception for physicians already serving in the U.S.
This needs to end.

Hi, congratulations to everyone who matched this year. Unfortunately I couldn't match this year. It was my second Match cycle and I got 5 Interviews. I know this is not the end and I don't want it to be. I would really appreciate some advice regarding what I should do next.
Hi everyone! Sadly I went unmatched again. If anyone knows of any obgyn or general surgery PGY1 or PGY2 openings, or any obgyn or general surgery research fellow year positions, or anything at all please let me know #SOAP2026#Unmatched2026#OBGYN#GeneralSurgery
I’m disappointed to announce that I did not match to neurological surgery. Delayed does not mean denied. I have faced adversity before. I refuse to let this define me. That said, I am seeking a US preliminary surgery position and will work tirelessly, if given the opportunity. ✊🏽
