The Wall Street Journal then reported Israel had shared fresh intelligence of a new Iranian plot against the president.

By early this morning, Axios had the walk-back: two senior US officials said no specific, organized plan was ever shared, just Iranian figures discussing the matter.

Hours later, the New York Post carried Trump's standing-orders quote.

Alex Jones has tracked this thread since Butler, and his read cuts two ways.

He notes Iran has publicly and repeatedly disavowed any intent to kill Trump, insisting since Midnight Hammer that its doctrine is proportional, regional retaliation.

But he also argues that pre-announcing automatic devastation creates a dangerous incentive: any actor who wants full war now knows exactly what one attack, blamed on Tehran, would deliver.

His advice to Iran was blunt: say loudly and clearly it isn't you.

Where he was hardest to argue with: a president publicly discussing his own assassination, twice in two days, while mediators work to restart talks, tells you how far from normal this moment sits.
