Highlighting the inglorious ineptitude of the NY Jets ownership

"Thinking is overrated."
- NY Jets owner Woody Johnson

[JetFanFutility @JetFanFutility]

@NYJetsTFMedia Brady Cook better be preparing to start. That means extra work with receivers, etc.

He almost will certainly get a opportunity to play this year.

If he squanders it, it's on him.

[JetFanFutility @JetFanFutility]

@RetroBayArea Almost as bad as the 2018 NY Jets redesign

[Joey Jackpots @haulinhundos]

Ah yes, fighting about coaching candidates before Halloween. A New York Jets football tradition!

[JetFanFutility @JetFanFutility]

@DWC_1985 lol

[JetFanFutility @JetFanFutility]

It's been done before - Baker Mayfield in his first start

So yeah, it will likely happen again

Woody never imparts any urgency about not repeating past mistakes

[ً @SauceDPOY]

Fernando Mendoza cooking us in his first start is maybe the most predictable thing a man could ever predict

[JetFanFutility @JetFanFutility]

Here's something Woody Johnson has never bothered to learn

[The Gridiron War 🏉 @thegridironwar]

Bill Walsh ripping on coaches.

[JetFanFutility @JetFanFutility]

@snyjets Memba when Herm Edwards put in place a staff member to be a dedicated clock watcher?

Older Jet fans remember

Woody Johnson imparts no institutional wisdom - then end result is the team makes the same blunders over and over and over and over again

[JetFanFutility @JetFanFutility]

@ZackBlatt That's a lot of sad Septembers and awful Octobers!

[JetFanFutility @JetFanFutility]

@RyanPaganetti but the Jets are building something special you see 🙄

[JetFanFutility @JetFanFutility]

The Jets losing to a team on losing streak is nothing new.

The 2018 Browns were on a 19 game losing streak but beat the Jets
The 2019 Bengals were on a 11 game losing streak but beat the Jets
The 2024 Patriots were on a 6 game losing streak but beat the Jets

The Woody Johnson Jets are the NFL's slumpbuster team

[JetFanFutility @JetFanFutility]

@TannerPhifer What a turn of events after the Giants head coach was dogged all week for his comments about needing the running backs to step up

Good coaching cuts through a lot of nonsense

[JetFanFutility @JetFanFutility]

@MannyNYJets 2011 through 2018 were not great years

Woody Johnson has to go

[JetFanFutility @JetFanFutility]

@NegativeNew @NFL @Giants just the part where he found success after 3 uneven seasons with the team that drafted him

[JetFanFutility @JetFanFutility]

Reminder: Aaron Glenn is ranked #4 all time for career interceptions from when he played for the NY Jets

The team he coaches? Historically the most awful team at intercepting a pass in all of recent human history

[JetFanFutility @JetFanFutility]

A good ritual for NY Jets fans

[Manifest_Lord @Manifest_Lord]

A Native American grief ritual from the 14oos was studied at Johns Hopkins..

It processed trauma 6x faster than talk therapy.

(Therapists' associations tried to discredit it) 👇 🧵

[JetFanFutility @JetFanFutility]

yep.

[Jack P @5858Jack]

I’m good,

Woody Johnson can do whatever he wants Fire whoever he wants because this organization as it’s currently constituted

Isn’t ever winning anything of significance and is never competing for a division title and is never competing for a championship

You’re kidding yourself if you think otherwise

[JetFanFutility @JetFanFutility]

@snyjets is that a new record? or is it on par with the last 15 years?

it's hard to tell with this disastrous team

[JetFanFutility @JetFanFutility]

@AdamSchefter Who want to swim with dem fish?

[Kyle Becker @kylenabecker]

Woody Johnson has held #Jets fans hostage for too long.

This #Jets will never be an actual NFL team until he sells it.

Time for @woodyjohnson4 do the right thing and put the team up for sale.

[JetFanFutility @JetFanFutility]

@NYJetsTFMedia The answer is obvious.

And it's been right under Woody Johnson's nose the whole time.

One of his teenage sons should be the next coach of the NY Jets.
