Seem to be doing a bit better with #caterpillar s. Here's one I discovered this morning in my back garden. I seem to remember seeing dozens of these on privet hedges when I was young. Any one know what it is?

My brother found this #caterpillar on a sapling in his garden and expected me to know what it was. After consulting some books I thought it might be a Grey Dagger. Can anyone confirm if I'm correct?
