On August 5th, 2024, in an open-house meeting organized, the CEO confirmed following points -
1.⁠ ⁠The consultant has drafted the HR policy, including compensation and benefits aligned with NTPC/NTPC JV standards.
2.⁠ ⁠The policy shall be implemented after a NTPC HR Manager is assigned to the Jhabua site, and the CEO is personally making every effort towards this goal.
3.⁠ ⁠⁠The draft policy will be submitted for approval at the next board meeting.
4.⁠ ⁠⁠The Annual Appraisal (PMS) process as per the policy of previous owner shall not be submitted for approval in the board meeting until the new policy is approved.
It's clear that the unresolved HR and employment policy matters have led to frustration, given the significance of these policies for our overall well-being and job contentment. Even though other NTPC procedures (Operational, Commercial, Finance, O&M etc.) have been implemented in the last two years, it is disappointing that HR issues have not been addressed promptly.

The CEO and CFO of JPL, appointed by its Board, confirmed to JPL employees that their job security is guaranteed under the protection of such a giant organization - NTPC Limited. They also confirmed that updated HR policies will be developed soon, with the CEO guaranteeing that the FY 2023-24 annual performance evaluation will follow the new policies.
To expedite the process as promised, the CEO engaged Dhurjati Consultants Pvt Ltd, a consulting company run by a former NTPC HR senior executive, to establish JPL employees' employment terms and policies. The CEO reassured that no JPL employee would experience a reduction in their take-home salary because of the new policies. Jhabua Power Limited (JPL), formerly a subsidiary of Avantha Power & Infrastructure Limited, entered insolvency in March 2019, with a Resolution Professional designated on July 24, 2019.
