While most major institutions of American labor were decidedly anti-fascist in the 1930s, the Jewish Labor Committee (JLC) and Jewish labor unions held a special interest in anti-Nazi organizing.

This #publicservicerecognitionweek, @AFGEPrezKelley has a special message for every patriotic American serving their country in the government who've been under unprecedented assault.

"Just two years ago, when our union ratified a new national contract with UPS, it looked like management finally came to its senses. As part of our deal, the company agreed to start putting A/C and ventilation systems in our trucks. For me and my fellow Teamsters, it felt like our prayers were answered. Finally, we wouldn't have to spend more summers worrying about whether we would make it home safe to our families. UPS is intentionally refusing to live up to the promises they made in our contract. The way they treat us, it's like they forget we're human. While they continue to disrespect us, hundreds of thousands of UPS Teamsters are ready to fight for what we're owed."

A recent survey shows that registered voters oppose Postal Service privatization by an overwhelming 34-point margin. The public is overwhelmingly on our side across partisan, demographic, and geographic lines. #USMailNotforSale

Private shippers have been wanting to get USPS out of parcel delivery for years. We say #HellNo to handing them the keys! The Postal Service is for the people, and we’ll #FightLikeHell to protect the universal service all Americans rely on!
