Emails can be heartfelt too, it all depends on what you write. Someone could just write a letter and just write ' hi ' if they really desired.

Oh thank god, he was always stressed about how others may have seen it. He’d more often get compliments for his outfits, rather than his hair.

It does, to him it has never looked messy. It looked a little wild but tame and taken care off. Someone who was careful but loved to explore.
