A new era begins for us. The Black Jacket.

Starting this year , kids who complete the 50 Yard Challenge will earn a black varsity jacket as a symbol of their hard work, dedication, and service to their community.

The inspiration behind the Black Jacket comes from the tradition of the green jacket awarded at The Masters Tournament, creating a meaningful symbol that represents excellence, commitment, and achievement within our program. Kids get the jackets along with their new equipment .

Kids of previous years that did the challenge , will be able to get one once we secure a sponsor for our jackets. If any company is interested in becoming a sponsor and having your logo on our jackets & shirts please reach out.

Statement from the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation

Earlier today, Carolina Forward posted a series of statements across multiple social media platforms containing inaccurate information about the SBI and a member of the General Assembly. The SBI contacted Carolina Forward this morning asking it to correct the posts.

Carolina Forward subsequently edited its posts. The edited version remains incorrect. The SBI contacted the Wake County District Attorney, Lorrin Freeman, who provided this statement:

“As has been previously confirmed, the ongoing investigation into the 501(c)(4) Greater Carolina has expanded to include a look at what affiliation those with Greater Carolina had with the company the M Group if any.  It is inaccurate to state that any specific current legislators are a target of this effort at this time.   As this investigation continues, we are committed to doing our due diligence and will not engage in a rush to judgment.  This is an ongoing investigation.”

Carolina Forward has not responded to additional attempts to seek a correction. Because these posts remain inaccurate, the SBI is issuing this statement to correct the facts.

The SBI fully supports the First Amendment, and the public's right to free speech. We will continue to publicly correct organizations and individuals who spread incorrect information.

His name is David Simpson and he was sitting in the Mecklenburg County Jail on a warrant for possessing a WEAPON.

He posted a $10,000 bond.

The doors opened at 12:21 in the morning.

At 1:45 AM, 84 minutes later, he sh0t 2 men at the Country Club Apartments on Dunlavin Way.

One de*d at the scene. One in the hospital.

Investigators say surveillance video shows Simpson walking up BEHIND both men and firing twice.

Why?

A PARKING SPOT.

The victim lived a few doors down and had parked in the spot in front of Simpson's door.

That's it. That's the whole reason.

In 2013, Simpson was charged with FIRST-DEGREE M*RDER for shooting Richard Bonds during a fight in an uptown parking lot.

He pleaded it down to voluntary manslaughter.

He served ONLY FIVE YEARS.

He was out in 2020.

His record and found TEN more notable arrests AFTER that release!!!!

I found 9 separate sets of charges in the last 3 years alone.

He has literally been charged OVER AND OVER with possession of a firearm by a felon.

A man who already k*lled someone.
Who is BARRED BY LAW from touching a gun.
Who kept getting caught with one anyway.

Suing the Trump EPA is not going to stop forest fires any more than President Trump threatening to levy tariffs on Canada will stop them. In your case, the fires aren't our nation's problem, and in Trump's case, over 50% of fires in Canada are caused by lightning and because the majority of Canada's boreal forests are in remote locations that are difficult to access, proper forest management isn't easily feasible.

As for exceedingly high temperatures, what you are describing there is, well, summer. This your first year on Earth, lady? Summers are hot. They always have been. They always will be. And, in the case of unusual heat, the average number of heatwave events per year—defined as three or more consecutive days with daily maximum temperatures ≥90th percentile relative to 1991−2020 climatology (TX90p)—have decreased by 20.2% since the beginning of the 20th century (1994−2025 average minus 1901−30).

I am interested in scientific facts, not fairytales, and your frivolous suit should be dismissed in court no sooner than it is brought forward.
