My piece for @spikedonline on what happened when Scope dropped my choir from singing at the London Marathon yesterday .

The reality of EDI: Keep quiet about trans ideology -accept men in women’s spaces, accept the mistreatment of gender confused kids- or face second class treatment. Charities taking this stance are damaging the sector and the concept of charity itself.
So instead of taking a beat to consider whether their actions were lawful and proportionate, Scope have chosen to issue a public statement about me on their website.
Which feels as though they are doubling down - and singling me out further.
Suffice to say, I have taken legal advice and am well supported on that front.
It’s worth noting that they appear to be leaning on the “Bananarama argument” - i.e. it’s not what you say, it’s how you say it - implying that the issue is the way I have expressed my lawfully held gender critical views.
Those who follow me online will know that I am generally very measured in the way I express my views.

Which means there is no “nice” way to say that a man who claims to be female is a man - and therefore shouldn't be in women's spaces and sports. Other than simply saying it.
So the problem is not how you say it - it’s the fact you’re saying it at all.
