Since GOPers seem obsessed with the idea that 7-year-olds are undergoing gender-reassignment surgery in droves, I thought I'd do a little research.

All of these numbers are from the year 2021, and only pertain to the United States.

Population for the 6-18 age range: 58,325,322

Gender dysphoria diagnosis (6-17): 42,167

Puberty blockers (6-17): 1,390

Hormone therapy (6-17): 4,241

Mastectomies (13-17): 282

Mastectomies (Under 13): 0

The next set of data is for the years 2019-2021.

Genital surgeries (13-17): 56 (approximately 19 p/year)

Okay, I've received a few questions regarding how the number of mastectomies and genital surgeries for those aged 13-17 (since there weren't any recorded such surgeries for those under the age of 13) compared to gun deaths, nose jobs, breast augmentation and reduction, etc. I also received a question on transgender athletes in their respective sports. I'll try to answer all of them the best I can.

In 2021, 2,590 kids, ages 13-18, were killed by firearms. That's approximately 9 times more than the number of teenagers who had mastectomies the same year, and 136 times the number of genital surgeries which were performed on those aged 13-17.

In 2020, kids aged 13-19, underwent the following number of cosmetic procedures:

- Breast augmentation: 3,233
- Breast implant removals: 64
- Breast lift: 1,006
- Breast reduction: 1,843
- Breast reduction in men: 2,823
- Buttock lift: 12
- Cheek implant: 3,033
- Chin augmentation: 2,517
- Dermabrasion: 2,152
- Ear surgery: 17,340
- Eyelid surgery: 5,301
- Forehead lift: 74
- Labiaplasty: 879
- Lip augmentation: 331
- Lower body lift: 43
- Liposuction: 2,346
- Lower body lift: 43
- Neck lift: 46
- Nose reshaping: 44,686
- Thigh lift: 46
- Tummy tuck: 166
- Upper arm lift: 25
- Total: 87,966

Compare that to mastectomies (282) and genital surgeries (19), and cosmetic procedures outpaced them by 312 x and 4,630 x, respectively.

Finally, as of last year, there were a reported 32 transgender athletes at the college level, out of 520,000+. Earlier this year, there were a reported 15 transgender athletes in high school - only 2 of which were transgender girls. There are over 7.9 million high schoolers participating in at least one sport.
