On Sept. 29, 2022, California Governor Gavin Newsom signed SB 1107, doubling California’s minimum liability insurance limits. The bill will go into effect Jan. 1, 2025. Drivers will be required to carry $30,000, $60,000 and $15,000. Proof of financial responsibility will be $75k.
