Fantastic effort from all the teams at #UKRO2024! These snapshots capture the energy and teamwork of the event, including a moment where our Chief Fire Officer, Dan Quin, shared a few words as UKRO Vice Chair. Congratulations to everyone who took part. @_ukro

Last year, we had 349 wildfires in Surrey 🔥

Here's a look at one of them 😳 🚒

This season, we're spreading the word with our #BeWildfireAware campaign to help prevent wildfires:

🥪 Swap BBQs for picnics
🚭 Get rid of cigarettes properly
🗑️ Take rubbish home

It's COLD! 🥶❄️

We know frozen lakes & ponds can be beautiful to visit, but please stay safe near any water’s edge & never risk your life by attempting to walk on or near ice.
❄️ Supervise children
❄️ Keep dogs on leads
❄️ Wear appropriate footwear if walking near water

[Jim Tallack @JimTallack]

@FIRE_Editor @AsianFSA @SurreyFRS Congratulations @DalRai81 👏👏

It's going to be cold and quite possibly wet this weekend along our #Rivers.

If you're up for a bracing walk along a riverbank, please take care and watch out for ice or slush

This is your friendly reminder that this is NOT a clear windscreen! Ensure you clear it completely both outside & inside before setting off to reduce your risk of being involved in an accident! 🚗

A few minutes taken to clear your windscreen could save a life! ❄️ #DriveToArrive
