3rd branch meeting this week and this time at @Redbridge53
Great attendance & solid @fbunational members venting their frustration at the disregard employers have shown for the critical life saving work Firefighters do
Unanimous in declining the derisory pay offer ✊
Ahead of the twentieth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks @MattWrack has sent the solidarity of all FBU members to our firefighting brothers & sisters in the USA.
See the letter sent to Edward Kelly, General President of the IAFF (the US and Canada firefighter union).
Thank you for raising this important issue today @IanLaveryMP, and well said
If the government is truly committed to "levelling up" and reducing inequality, they must commit to protecting firefighters' collective bargaining rights
Tomorrow marks the anniversary of the tragic Grenfell Tower fire.
Four years on and the government has still failed to get a grip on our building safety crisis. #GrenfellNeverAgain#EndOurCladdingCrisis
Last night, the government were called on to get to grips with our building safety crisis and remove all flammable cladding by June 2022.
They voted against making homes safe and ensuring innocent homeowners are not forced to cover the costs.
Shame on them.
This is horrific.
Well done to all firefighters involved. Thoughts with residents....BUT...why do we still have buildings in this position nearly four years after #Grenfell
This is a block with ACM cladding which I visited in 2019 as part of a piece about how long it was taking to remove. Here we are two years later - the cladding is still on the walls and now it's on fire.

Employers are still refusing to pay retired firefighters their full pensions
So we've taken the cases of 3 members, robbed of thousands of pounds, to the high court to set a legal precedent
Our message to employers? Pay up or we will sue every one of you https://t.co/dXTo25Pn4P
My wife Lola will be selling her crocheted dolls in the precinct this Saturday, all proceeds to the drop-in-centre. For God's sake buy one, she's made 600 of the bloody things. They're all over the house. Every time I open the airing cupboard it's like being attacked by Chucky.
Another FBU pensions victory in court today ✊
We’re tired of the games and attacks from fire service bosses and government
This ruling is clear - firefighters must be paid their proper pensions

Today, on #WorldCancerDay, we are proud to launch the Firefighters' Cancer and Disease Registry with @UCLan.
We're calling on every current and former UK firefighter suffering from cancer and other chronic illnesses to add their name to the registry.

@davidschneider Boris Johnson's Government has done everything it could to push the lie that it's done "everything it could" to prevent 100,000 + deaths.
