You know who I was convinced would captain Liverpool one day based on an interview? Steven Irwin.
Brendan Rodgers had us transfixed during his first interview as he made us all stand up, placed us all round the room to make a tactical point. He’ll win the lot, I probably tweeted
Re Konate, see Trent. Blaming the club for a selfish, greedy individual not signing a contract he had no intention of ever signing is futile beyond words.
Few of them better themselves. McManaman was at least understandable, he was treated like fodder in 1997.
Salah and Robertson are legends, I love them both, but Salah hasn’t put in a consecutive good performance for nearly 18 months and Robertson two years. Jones has made a lot of goal-costing mistakes this season…
@JimmyRiceWriter I remember seeing he was criticised in Hungary for being lazy and it’s mad because he runs loads but he’s lazy in every facet of the game that matters. Doesn’t apply himself in challenges, doesn’t win headers, doesn’t run with the ball often. Just literally runs
@JimmyRiceWriter I’ve never hated a squad of Liverpool players more than this one
Full up jumped up,big headed, cocky twats more interested in look, image & social media
Manager not strong enough to slap it out of them & not enough Henderson / Milner type characters who policed & called it out
I remember when Dani Pacheco was banging in free-kicks for the U21s and in friendlies and there was a clamour to give him game time. I can’t remember who all these years later but one of the coaching staff at the time told me to look at his game minus that party trick
As for Szoboszlai…other than his party trick free kick, and work rate, he has little to merit him as a top footballer and is the midfielder most guilty of slowing us down. He also seems like a bit of a bell. One of the reasons it’s very hard to love this Liverpool side
Wanting Slot to go shouldn’t cloud that what we’ve seen here from the players is toxic and, in some cases, directly contradicts what they were saying 12 months ago. A mutiny by way of Instagram likes is pathetic and doesn’t reflect well on the personality of this dressing room
