Yeah, I don't see that in the surveys that I use.
Among Gen Z, it looks like 25-30% do not identify as heterosexual.
And there's has been a jump in that percentage between 2016 and 2020 among people in 1970 or later. Not much change among older Americans.
Just saw that synthetic DID R-code (by Arkhangelsky, @Susan_Athey, et al.) is available on Github now.
Really simple but powerful idea: doing weighted DID w/ synth weights (+regularization) can be doubly robust and reduce bias of each approach.
