@tl_7775 I also learned the importance of grammar through writing. I never would have thought that the type of language I use would result in how the meaning was read and how the overall text was seen. Grammar can be used to make a text sound more professional or more casual. #writ273mu
@ashlyngraceh Me too! I have never used Twitter before coming into this class, but after using it for tweeting and for research purposes, I understand how useful it is. Using social media will enhance our research practices, writing, and reading, and allow us to communicate more! #writ273mu
@tabythahalza I also learned this! Asking questions always gets me to think deeper about the overall text. It allows you to look at the theme, context, purpose, and if you are the intended audience. I think we all learned something significant from the rhetorical situation! #writ273mu
I actually just tried this flavor the other day, but it was amazing, so I know I will be snacking on these all week during Finals. They are a great salty snack to have next to you when studying! #writ273mu#drpgame
My favorite Finals snack is chocolate (dark chocolate). Chocolate is always something I eat when I'm stressed, and by choosing dark chocolate I can still be kind of healthy but also still get the amazing taste! #writ273mu#drpgame
From this class, I learned how to use research as well as how to conduct it. I have learned how to avoid cherry-picking, selecting which sources are valuable and credible for my issue, as well as choosing which platform of research would benefit my overall point. #writ273mu
By taking this class, I learned how to write using rhetorical situations. This involved learning how to write to a specific audience and portraying context to aid the overall message, theme, etc. This has helped me write texts for different classes and specific readers.#writ273mu
From this class, I have learned how to correctly annotate while reading. I used to simply underline something that "seemed important" but now I annotate when something similar is mentioned earlier in the text or if it shows the overall purpose, genre, theme, etc. #writ273mu
Citations always have confused me! I looked up what types of citations to do for social media and it didn't give me a clear answer but showed how to cite them? Does this look correct? #writ273mu
@camreids This is a great way of approaching an introduction. Including your overall issue, the question, and the idea of social media will all help to have the introduction so it sets the reader up to know what they will be reading about. #writ273mu
@ashlyngraceh Maybe you could include mental health in your headings and the introduction, so it ties in with one another. As Tabytha said, it will add more of a flow from social media and mental health. #writ273mu
@tabythahalza I am focusing on explaining the overall point I made in that heading and explaining the overall theme in the tweets included. Then I have subheadings that separate the tweets into more specific themes and I explain the influence social media in there. #writ273mu
@addieakinss I am also doing this! I worked on each major section every day so I didn't have as much to do in one sitting. I feel that all of my major assignments are due this week so this will definitely help my stress levels! #writ273mu
@megan_gockley I'm also having this problem with explaining social media in my introduction. I wrote more about social media in my headings, then will go back to describe it in my introduction. I think it will allow for more ideas to flow and create some unity with the explanation. #writ273mu
@megan_gockley They are definitely organized really well! Maybe you could section your sources by similar ideas so you can explain them separately. This might allow for a better explanation and then you can add subheadings for each section! Your headings look great! #writ273mu
@addieakinss These look great! I did something similar to this as well. I have 5 major headings, then I found groups of sources in each heading that had similar ideas and sectioned them off as a subheading, so it allowed for a better explanation. #writ273mu
Two of my headings are, "Technology is the future, and the world is becoming more aware of digital art" and "What can you make with digital art, and how can you improve yourself?" I think I will be able to explain social media with these easily! Feedback? #writ273mu
