@JimThomson52951 Jim i understand your POV, but the problem here is rather more complex then that, @elonmusk himself isn’t the kind of person who supports heavy-handed restrictions like this. There’s really no need to remind anyone that human creativity can’t thrive under such tightly bound constraints especially when the whole point is to understand the universe.The real issue here is the laws targeting deepfakes (DF) and (CSM) that came after what looked like a coordinated wave of complaints and backlash in January. I don’t believe this was entirely organic. I’m not pushing any conspiracy theory, but looking at the situation, it feels like it was either aimed at Elon and broader user freedoms at the same time, or a small number of people generating extreme and inappropriate fetish content ended up dragging every user into an overly aggressive “Terry stop” situation where everything gets heavily scrutinized by default.The bigger problem is what happens when a model gets hyper-tuned to block or censor certain topics and aggressively moderate outputs. Its attention gets completely diverted toward so called “RLHF-defined safety,” and right now it’s only operating at maybe 60–70% of its original capability from the full training data imo, On top of that, they’ve added very tight quotas around 20 videos at 480p max if you’re lucky, Otherwise the system just blocks most generations because it’s overly sensitive and flags almost any catchword or phrase in the prompt, this extreme swing from one side to the other isn’t sustainable. I’m hopeful and confident that @elonmusk is already working on fixing it. I’m not just registering a complaint here; I’m pointing out that real solutions exist, The natural laws of market dynamics will always prevail: where there is genuine demand for creative tools, you simply cannot block or restrict the supply indefinitely. Overly restrictive systems often end up driving users toward less accountable alternatives anyway.
