@5thWave_tcronin Sure seems like a non-story to me. “Help”? In what ways? Russia is already the largest exporter of wheat and is running low for this season. Fertilizer? Maybe that is a change. But not “grain” unless the banking change actually works - and that is not that major for grains.
@sizov_andre And can confirm very difficult to get firm freight offer for vessels loading in US Gulf and other ports versus the inquiries we seeing daily from North African buyers. Clarity would be very welcomed.
@kdinvestors@WheatTraderFCSt What the GOI can “force” is the use of more rice and less wheat in the heavily subsidized programs that support and are distributed to the poor. This can kick the wheat import “can” down the road. Always remember the Indian consumer can stay hungry longer than the S&D suggests.
@Strawhats7 Maybe the market is telling us that the world wheat carry out is NOT so tight. Or maybe this is a 2010 May period…the “calm” before the “storm”.
@Strawhats7 Not sure where you are getting this “SRW is now the cheapest wheat” idea…but agree with many of your other points. Thanks for your comments.
