This morning, Green Party leader David Coon promised a Universal School Food program 🍎🥪, ensuring every student in New Brunswick gets breakfast and lunch.

Teachers shouldn’t have to spend their own money to feed hungry kids. We need a province-wide program so teachers can teach and students can learn.

The program would be funded by $4M in federal support and by cutting $20M in subsidies to large forestry corporations 🌲💸.

We’ll end the free lunch for billion-dollar companies and give it to our kids instead.

This morning, Green Party leader David Coon and Deputy Leader Kevin Arseneau announced a bold plan to cut the small business tax rate from 2.5% to 1% 💼📉—just like in P.E.I. The plan will also raise the income threshold for higher corporate taxes from $500K to $700K.

Our small businesses are the real backbone of our economy. They invest locally, create jobs, and build stronger communities. Big corporations often get all the breaks, but it’s small businesses that make our province tick.

Arseneau took it a step further by announcing a new Department of Community Development and Rural Affairs 🌾🏢. This will merge existing agencies to decentralize decision making and empower community-led development.
