81.99 is where the Job Quality Index reading comes in for March. #JQI

The @jobqualityindex reading for March (JQI operates with a one month lag) comes in at 81.99, very, very slowly reverting to its pre-pandemic levels. The unexpected April data may actually see the JQI rise a bit temporarily. But - eventually - low wage jobs must re-emerge (?).

#JQInstant reading comes in at 46.79

Interesting: the @jobqualityindex's #JQInstant reading comes in at 46.79 - indicating that fewer than half the jobs added in April were in low quality job sectors - despite the huge reliance on leisure and hospitality:
