“The swift withdrawal of the cartoon and apology by both Rowson and the Guardian are welcome, but really, this should not still be happening.”
Clear, calm, illuminating piece in the Guardian by @daverich1 on that cartoon https://t.co/cC7uWSDyXs

Richard Goring, once destined for a career in the biomedical field, found his love for presentation and design 20 years ago and has never looked back. Read about his journey and the movie character who inspires him to "dodge bullets" in PowerPoint! https://t.co/WwqIM4Ix4F
Here is how #platforms die: first, they are good to their users; then they abuse their users to make things better for their business customers; finally, they abuse those business customers to claw back all the value for themselves. Then, they die. 1/
Have I got this right? The Foreign Secretary’s phone was compromised by 🇷🇺 and Braverman as attorney general and Home Secretary compromised national security and the two Prime Ministers covered it up. The UK is not safe in their hands.
SaaS vendors like to boast that with cloud-based apps, "you're always running the latest version!"
The next version of Adobe's apps will require you to pay that $21/month Pantone fee, or any Pantone-defined colors in your images will render as black. 17/
Not much of a silver lining, given the size of the cloud, but at least we now know that any producer or presenter using guests from @iealondon is either deliberately promoting their ridiculous, utterly discredited agenda or treating their audience with complete contempt. Or both.

We need a general election, now.
My full statement:
Kwasi Kwarteng was not fighting “orthodoxy”. He was fighting maths. The whole project was/is a fantasy. Don’t give it the patina of a revolution. It just didn’t add up. It was post-truth, just like the claims of Brexit uplands. https://t.co/QA7RDRAh3E
At this point it doesn't look like an accidental omission - in my opinion it looks like deliberate deception... a lie.
If Zahawi told the same lie to HMRC, then this wouldn't be tax avoidance - in my view it would be tax evasion. Astonishing for a senior cabinet minister.
They need to reverse their whole economic, discredited trickle down strategy.
Their kamikaze Budget needs reversing now.
As the party of fiscal responsibility and social justice, it will come to the Labour Party to repair the damage this Tory government has done. 3/3
The PM has been forced to abandon her unfunded tax cut for the richest 1%.
But it comes too late for the families who will pay higher mortgages and higher prices for years.
The Tories have destroyed their economic credibility and damaged trust in the British economy. 1/3
