@YankeesTalk7@RichCimini I was fine with the call - Allen is the short yardage back, and on his goal line TD nobody touched him. OL got bullied all day in the run game and play calling can’t fix that. Except maybe to abandon the run and do a PA boot there. That might have worked.
@JchiMick1@TheNFLDrop It isn’t. The rule is you can only trade 3 drafts into the future. The Jets have 2 2026 1sts, 3 2027 1sts, and 1 2028 1st. So the Jets can legally trade 8 first rounds picks right now.
@DinnerWed@CoachSchaef@RichCimini Saying a RB who rushed for less than 50 yds w 0 TDs and a lost fumble inside the 5 is a stock down day should not be a controversial take.
@CoachSchaef@RichCimini Breece may be the man but you can’t lose a fumble inside the 5 in a game where the offense only put up one TD (not scored by Breece). 44 rushing yards is not fantastic in any circumstance. Had some nice plays in the passing game but his longest rush was 9 yds. So yeah stock down
@tana_inc Blasphemy. He taped the top 2 corners before getting in the hole, raising the poster like a flap to then get in. Corner 3 by reaching around from inside. Only corner 4 would have been badly taped, or missing.
@JohnB1806@NyjMike By far the best option is a stretch. He’s the cheapest starting veteran QB not named Rodgers for a reason. Teams weren’t lining up to sign Flacco or Daniel Jones or even Mac Jones. They’ve all been better than Fields.
@NYJ_Matt I would care more about this if were a bad call, but it was a penalty. It’s not surprising that a ref would not want to admit he missed a call and NY had to correct them. I wish it happened more often. Dumb that there is no sky judge.
@Nemesxs_@Connor_J_Hughes@SNYtv Adams was a consensus top 3 safety and had a ton of sacks. Meanwhile Breece hasn’t even had a 1k season and is maybe top 20. Even still, Adams trade was an outlier and a home run.
@ACE254032@Connor_J_Hughes The APY that gets reported isn’t the value from signing, but the “new money” average, which is how much more $ than the old contract is in the deal divided by no. of years. Again it’s a confusing way to talk about it. Your value from signing number is correct.
@ACE254032@Connor_J_Hughes Extensions don’t just add more years to the existing contract. An extension tears up the existing contract and replaces it. The way it gets talked about and reported makes it confusing.
@Jason_OTC@redsoxu571@ProFootballTalk Agents/agencies compete intensely to sign the top prospects. No agent wants to do a deal that gives other agents ammo to criticize them when recruiting next year’s players. The 1st non-guaranteed deal in Rd 2 will be that ammo. Don’t take my word for it-ask an agent!
