@carinemhajjar@jaketapper Are you going to explain how Democrats are actually to blame for ICE violence, even though Republicans control the White House and both houses of Congress? That should be good for a laugh.
@GiladEdelman@RichardHanania Why do media outlets want to convince us we should care what this guy thinks? He’s a white supremacist who conveniently renounced his past beliefs only after being exposed by the Huffington Post. Pushing him as some kind of political sage we need to listen to is bizarre.
@newyorkronin Love this podcast, but disappointinb episode. When asked to explain why so much violence has been sponsored by violence @ebruenig’s response was, “well, Christopher Hitchens supported the Iraq war. “
Oh. Well there you go, then.
@jessesingal@gabewildau Also, “she keeps writing novels.” Exactly! And Louis CK has a new Netflix special. And Jesse, you seem to be doing just fine. For all the furor about canceling people, it sure doesn’t seem to have much effect.
If I’d been a victim of cancellation I’d still be pissed, too. But for the rest of us, it just seems so out of touch to keep rehashing cancel campaigns from the left, which have been widely discredited, given the political reality we live in right now. You really think the Trump administration has been a model of tolerance for speech they disagree with?
@asymmetricinfo@mattyglesias I might as well ascribe Nick Fuentes’ opinions to you. He certainly represents a larger portion of your party’s views than the pro trans-athlete die-hards among liberals.
@asymmetricinfo@mattyglesias Most of us have, but as long as you can find one exception you’ll insist that “the left” is obsessed with trans athletes. I get it as a political strategy, but it’s completely disingenuous.
I’m an American who is deeply troubled by the way my country is willfully alienating the rest of the world. How was your experience here, given the ugly state of politics? Please, don’t mention the red card. We know. Believe me, we know. Our losing to Belgium was for the best, I hope we can put it behind us.
@christopherrufo Thought experiment for Chris Rufo: if you whine to Ezra Klein about lawfare being used against you in the same episode you praise the virtue of the Trump administration, are you a hypocrite, or completely lacking self-awareness? Or hey, why not both?
Interesting article, efforts like this are important. Tell me though, can anyone point to even one example of MAGA pundits or analysts showing any curiosity about voters who don’t support Trump? Everyone talks about bringing Americans together but the effort is all going one way
You should always have one Libertarian around to check your assumptions. But never more than one, because if they actually gain power, you’ll find yourself in Cormac McCarthy’s “The Road.”
If Ayn Rand had invented @PikettyWIL, critics would have said she created an unbelievably ridiculous supervillain, writes @veroderugy at @reason. But his idiotic plan for global economic controls isn't fiction, alas... https://t.co/H3CP82mTLi
@FoodFreedomNH Sorry, I guess the whole “promoting political violence and shouting racial slurs in grocery store parking lots” approach just doesn’t work for me. You do you, though.
