Does anyone else have more skepticism when tou see the obvious tell-tale signs of design patterns on an app or landing page?
I do, I instantly feel my time is wasted because it wasn't worth it for the publisher to bother with more then just minimum-viable AI design patterns.
@adrian_horning_ Damn. It was nice to politely and unobtrusively research subreddits this way.
Guess I need to use alternative methods and burn more server resources.
All they had to do is up the rate limits.
@gaetano_nyc You know better than I do, but a 1yr warranty is standard. To make good on that I (of course) built a multi-stage tool to validate link presence, anchors, and semantics by link builder so I can audit link turnover/health. You get what you pay for (most of the time).
@johnandrews@SeoTudent Oh yeah, now there are 3x as many links and total chaos on the SERP since then.
I would be curious to know todayβs CTR by position rates that arenβt just rehashing the old Backlinko article, but a net new analysis.
@johnandrews@SeoTudent You could take comps from GSC for organic clicks in top positions, then map against GKP. Then apply a conservative CTR scale for pos 1-10 to arrive at equivalent ad value.
I mean this is what Ahrefs is supposed to do, but by doing it this way I have more precision and accuracy.
@gaganghotra_ The messaging is so sterile and formulaic.
They chatgptβd this didnβt they? π’
Guess a CMS hitching its wagon on AEO as the silver bullet for clients was a bad bet.
For months, they publishing nothing but AEO guides & collabs with Ethan. And bam, it fizzled out.
@lilyraynyc Agreed. Play with fire, prepare to get burned.
Traffic obsession at all costs comes from a lack of discipline in understanding how traffic becomes a dollar.
@gaganghotra_ Probably wise for ClickUp to rethink their brand/marketing architecture and map out exactly what content (and formats) matters to those audiences and not go full bore into search-first. Rather, outcome/audience-first. Then rebuild.
@gaganghotra_ How about zoominfo company profiles? I know a few years ago they were surging.
Tons of copycats of website/scraped info cobbled together.
Did Semrush pull the plug on those domain name stats pages? Those were hot for a minute.
@timsoulo@ViperChill A better take is to show how those folks have increased results and accelerated TTL for campaigns with Agent A. Not how to eliminate roles in a cute way.
I foresee a CMO taking this literally and buying into the tool, not the strategy. π€¨
