I just spent 2 incredible weeks in Italy and it is so frustrating to come back to the U.S…
How is it possible @RobertKennedyJr that the Italian food supply is so vastly superior.
I literally ate bread at every meal, dessert multiple times per day, and generally ate way more than I do in the U.S.
Not once did I have acid reflux. Not one headache, no digestive problems, and I didn’t gain any weight.
If I ate the same way in the U.S. (I used to at times) I would have gone through a full bottle of Tums and Advil just to get through the day…
WHY does the U.S. allow glyphosate in wheat, high fructose corn syrup in food and who knows what in our milk products?
The difference in quality of life in Italy vs the U.S. is staggering from their common sense (anti corporate) food regulation.
WHY aren’t more people upset about this?
The U.S. is the richest country in the world and we eat like one of the poorest.
11-12-0 since the Olympic break. 4-9-0 last 13. 1-6-0 last 7.
#Isles fell apart in a big way last 2 weeks, but this was a 2-month collapse.
GM changed. Coach changed. Time for a major roster shakeup to turn this team in a new direction.
Crazy story at yesterdays @Mets game - Guy in section 121 had a heart attack and his wife started frantically yelling for help or a doctor or nurse to come over - One random guy in the section who said he was neither started doing chest compressions and saved the mans life. Eventually paramedics showed up to take over and assist the fallen man. The hero went back to his seat, sat down and watched the rest of the game with zero fanfare or attention. He just wanted to watch the Mets win. When the game ended he walked out like nothing had happened. Don't know his name but he saved a mans life and is a hero.
The new Mayor of New York City claims the local government has created a “fiscal crisis” on the scale of the Global Financial Crisis.
His solution is to take money from the best capital allocators in NYC and give it to the worst capital allocators.
This is the problem with socialism.
You can’t claim a fiscal crisis at the same time you are promising people free bus rides, free childcare, and government-run grocery stores.
Eventually you run out of everyone else’s money.
Darche: "This market, the fans are incredible." Still remembers how loud Nassau Coliseum was for Game 6 vs. Lightning, "never mind the beer being thrown."
Under Lou Lamoriello:
-Playoffs 5 of 7 seasons
-UBS Arena
-Brought pride and stability back to a franchise
-Gave the franchise its most successful run post dynasty
His time with the franchise had more highlights than lowlights
