.@InnovateEconomy has released a report on important reforms to our immigration system.
Two top green card reforms include allowing children of long term visa holders raised in America to stay to retain their talents and eliminating per-country caps.

We need more legal immigration, not less.
H-1B visas need to be reformed positively, but calling H-1B visa holders low wage is a terrible mischaracterization not supported by data.
It is also the most common dual intent visa for eventual employment based green card holders.
@loveyoumykids@POTUS There is already provision for spouse and dependent children to apply for GC under section INA 204(I) in case primary applicant passed away.
@VivekGRamaswamy This is exactly we are requesting. Many highly skilled Indians (H1B) have filed for green card 8-12 yrs ago but due to long wait their kids are aging out at 21 and have to self deport and separated from family. Please save us all and support EAD once I-140 is approved. @elonmusk
Superman @Elonmusk,
We believe in your potential to make a meaningful impact on the world. You can provide highly skilled immigrants with the stability they seek, the freedom to travel, opportunities to create new companies, and the flexibility to pursue different career paths.
Perhaps get the facts right? My parents came in 2005 on E2 (not E3) as small business owners.
Yes I am a Canadian citizen, but have lived here lawfully since 2005 when I was in elementary school.
Go poll this. I assure you most Americans would agree to change this law.
Also, not asking for a handout out. Laws that don’t make sense are meant to be changed.
Dear @elonmusk,
Congratulations 🎉 on winning the election! It took you 10 years to obtain citizenship in the USA, including your undergraduate and master's studies. You moved to the US in 1992 and became a US citizen in 2002.
Please do justice for Indian-born H-1B visas.
Congratulations to President @realDonaldTrump on being elected the 47th President of the United States.
Our statement on our hope and commitment to continue finding bipartisan solutions to fix our legal immigration system:
This regulation has been slated for publication since 2022. It includes an important regulatory update that can help some children of long term visa holders who age out.
Unfortunately, @DHSgov has delayed action. If they don’t publish this proposed rule soon, it is at risk of not being finalized during this administration.
.@SecMayorkas testified he cares about children of long term visa holders and will follow up vigilantly.
Meanwhile, @DHSgov has put a key proposed rule at risk by delaying it for over a year: https://t.co/pSOZa4O32p
They must publish it immediately for a final rule this year.
Unfortunately needs to be said:
Children of long term visa holders who age out or lose status leave the country to avoid becoming undocumented in more than 99% of cases.
Actions like the D3 waiver for daca recipients and dreamers cannot be claimed as also helping age outs.
Jade was forced to leave the country last year after growing up with lawful status.
She should have been protected by DACA, but because she had always maintained a lawful status, she was excluded.
Congress needs to do a permanent fix, but until then, admin can’t ignore this.
@ImproveTheDream@WhiteHouse@DHSgov@USCIS 1. The situation of H4 kids is pathetic. They are not allowed to do any internships or research. Not eligible for scholarships. Need to think of changing status from H4 to F1 . Fear of Aging out and deportation.
2 High skilled workers waiting in GC backlog live in constant fear
