15 months later and the court just spat in the faces of two children who watched their parents get executed in a Rustenburg parking lot.
Wilma Koster (66) and George Koster (69) were shot dead in broad daylight on 14 June 2025 in the Platinum Square parking area. A white Kia with no plates pulled in beside their Jeep. Door flung open. Bump. Argument. Onke Bongo pulled a gun and shot George at close range. When Wilma tried to stop it, she smashed the Kia’s rear window trying to get to her husband, Bongo shot her dead too. Both bodies were found on either side of the car, front doors hanging open.
Paramedics declared them dead on the scene. Witnesses heard the first two shots, then more. One round hit a shop wall. They fled. No firearm on the Kosters. None registered to them.
The court swallowed Bongo’s “self-defence” story anyway. Acquitted of murder. Convicted only of obstructing justice for running. Five years, fully suspended. They walk.
George Jr. and Jacqueline sat through 15 months of their parents being painted as the aggressors. Last words that morning, “We’ll stop at the shops, then we’ll braai later. See you then.” They never came home.
This is the system. Two White pensioners gunned down in a shopping centre car park and the shooters get a slap and a wave. The children are crushed. The state is “considering” an appeal. Don’t hold your breath.
Wilma and George Koster. Remember their faces. The court already forgot them.
Six armed men smashed their way into Amanda and Tim Platt’s farmhouse outside Pietermaritzburg in the early hours of 17 August 2023. They tore the lower half of the back door apart with bolt cutters and crowbars while more of them worked the bedroom window. Amanda begged them to leave. They looked her in the eyes and shouted “Kill the Boer.” Then they tried to drag her through the wrecked door.
She grabbed a decorative axe. They ripped it out of her hands. One of them smashed her over the head with a crowbar or bolt cutter until she hit the floor, concussed, praying she wouldn’t black out. They stabbed her in the groin with a wooden spear. Multiple head wounds. Arm smashed. Copper bangle bent out of shape from the force they used trying to haul her over the broken door while they kept chanting.
She fought them off long enough to bolt to a neighbor, already having called police and every farm around her. Then she went back inside because her husband was still in the house. By the time she returned the attackers had fled. Both of them lived. Six suspects were later arrested because the local farm watch actually showed up.
Three years later the trauma is still there. The politicians who treat “Kill the Boer” as heritage still get away with it. The same government that files this as “ordinary crime” still pretends the chant has nothing to do with what happens when the door comes off its hinges at 2 am.
Amanda is in Washington this week telling the story herself. The chant they used on her is the same one they sing on stage. That is not a metaphor. That is the soundtrack they chose while they were beating a White woman with a crowbar and driving a spear into her.
Advocate Mark Oppenheimer stood at a podium in Washington and walked through the moment Julius Malema looked a White farm-attack survivor in the eye and shrugged.
During the AfriForum “Kill the Boer” litigation, Oppenheimer put the facts to Malema under oath. An elderly White farmer testified from a wheelchair. Attackers had burst in. A shotgun blast dropped his wife in front of him with a catastrophic head wound. The same blast tore through his own 10th thoracic vertebra and severed his spinal cord. He would never walk again.
In court he broke down describing how the chant “Kill the Boer / Kill the farmer” still yanks him straight back to that room. Oppenheimer asked if that testimony, the murdered wife, the shattered spine, the tears, would make Malema stop singing it.
Malema’s answer was, “No. I am not moved. Let me repeat five times. I’m not moved by that case you brought here. I am not moved. And if that will make me lose this case, let me lose it. I am not moved.”
South Africa’s courts later decided the chant was not hate speech. Oppenheimer told the DC audience that is exactly why the fight had to leave those courtrooms and go international.
Christine Robinson’s case is one I will never forget.
Christine was a retired British teacher who had made South Africa her home. After her husband died, she continued running the game lodge they had built together near Thabazimbi.
On 30 July 2014, Christine was raped and murdered at that lodge.
Andrew Ndlovu fled after the attack. Years passed, but Christine’s family never stopped looking for him.
I became personally involved with the family, following leads and trying to find him. Six years to the day after Christine was murdered, a tip-off following another social media appeal led us to Johannesburg.
Together with SAPS members, led by W/O Crewe and former police officer Colonel Sakkie Louwrens, we found Ndlovu that very evening in Johannesburg and arrested him.
I will never forget that day. The feeling of satisfaction to tell a family that we got him!
But even an arrest was only the beginning of the road to justice.
Almost eight years after Christine’s murder, Ndlovu finally stood trial. His DNA linked him to the crime and in April 2022 he was convicted of rape and murder. He ultimately received two life sentences.
Christine’s family waited almost eight years for that moment.
Their persistence is something I will always remember.
A case does not become less important because the headlines disappear. A victim does not matter less because years have passed.
Sometimes justice requires people who simply refuse to stop looking.
This is why we do what we do. 🙏🏼

FARM ATTACKS ARE NOT “JUST ORDINARY CRIMES.” The brutality and torture inflicted on victims during farm attacks is documented in @afriForum’s new report. These are not ordinary robberies. They are often exceptionally violent attacks that leave victims traumatised, tortured, injured and dead.
Yet government still refuses to classify farm attacks and farm murders as priority crimes — while cash-in-transit robberies and illicit mining receive that status.
Why?
We are calling on government to recognise the seriousness of these crimes and give them the focused attention and resources they deserve. Sign the petition. Add your voice. ⚠️ WARNING: This video contains disturbing descriptions of violence and torture that may be upsetting to some viewers.
Farm attacks in South Africa are often described as robberies. But what happens during some of these attacks goes far beyond theft.
In this video, people are confronted – without prior knowledge – with real accounts of farm attacks, including descriptions of torture, extreme violence and brutality suffered by victims.
More than robbery is a new AfriForum report documenting the violence and torture associated with farm attacks in South Africa.
These are not simply stories about stolen property.
They are accounts of people who were subjected to violence, intimidation, humiliation and, in some cases, horrific acts of brutality.

BREDASDORP.
21 SEPTEMBER 2026.
Just a few days after ANOTHER "Kill the Boer" rally, a 73-year-old woman, Mariette Mouton, was beaten to death inside her own home on Republic Street while her 81-year-old husband Cobus was metres away in the garden.
They walked in through the back door like they owned the place. Found an elderly grandmother alone in her house. Beat her to death with a blunt object. Stole her jewellery, electronics, a kitchen knife and garden tools, then left her husband to walk inside and find her body.
This is not a “robbery gone wrong.” This is the same pattern we see over and over; White pensioners targeted in their homes because they are White, old, and an easy target. Husband outside cutting grass. Wife inside. Door unlocked. Beaten until she was dead. No arrests.
Another White grandmother smashed to death in her own house while her husband was working in the garden. Another family shattered. Another “nothing to see here” from the usual crowd.
Oh just fcuk off with your whole inequality charade. You've had everything for 32 yeas, now that's fcuking inequality. I'm sick & tired of this 🐂💩 it's only your dumb voters who believe you, their inequality under your hands is obvious, things have got worse since apartheid
Die regstelsel is ñ donnerse grap. Vermoor 2 bejaardes by ñ winkelsentrum, 65 en 69 jaar oud. Hof beslis dit was selfverdediging omrede die dame, 65 jaar oud, het ñ kierie by haar gehad nadat haar man dood geskiet is. Moordenaars, 29 en 31 jaar oud, kry 5 jaar opgeskorte vonnis.
This Afrikaans farmer had his land stolen by land invaders who took over and started erecting shacks.
The communist bantus, edged on by racist rhetoric from politicians and other influential people, do not believe that white people are entitled to own land in South Africa.
A communist will always accuse their enemies of what they are themselves, namely "land thieves."
SOUTH AFRICA IS NOT SAFE FOR MINORITIES.

TRAGEDY AFTER TRAGEDY - WHAT IS HAPPENING TO US? 😔💔
Two horrifying cases involving pregnant women have emerged:
A 20-year-old pregnant woman, Refilwe Matsila, was reported missing in the North West and was later found stabbed to death, with the baby she was carrying reported missing.
And in another devastating case, Karen Turner, a pregnant woman staying with her husband and young son at a resort in the Eastern Cape, was reportedly stabbed during a late-night attack.
Her unborn baby also died. Her husband survived after sustaining multiple stab wounds, while their young son was unharmed.
Two families. Two devastating tragedies in space of few years. Innocent lives lost.
South Africa, how did we get here? 😭🇿🇦

BREDASDORP 💔 — 73 YEARS OLD.
She was home. Her husband was in the garden.
Intruders walked in and BEAT a 73-year-old grandmother to death.
A 73-year-old woman. Defenseless. Alone in her house.
While her husband was just meters away, working in the garden.
He came back inside to find his wife murdered.
This is South Africa in 2026. Where our grandmothers are not safe in their own homes in broad daylight.
No outrage on TV.
No politicians crying for her.
Just another forgotten victim.
Say her name. Share her story. She deserves justice.
When will it end? 😭
Should farm and rural murders be declared a national crisis? YES or NO?

FARM ATTACKS
14–21 SEPTEMBER 2026
Four farm attacks were reported during the period from 14 to 21 September 2026. Incidents were recorded in Gauteng, the Free State and the Western Cape.
📍 Kameeldrift, Gauteng — 14/15 September
A farmer was attacked on a smallholding while feeding his pigs. He was assaulted and lost consciousness. When he later regained consciousness, he found himself lying in a pool of blood. A pig was stolen, and it is suspected that more than one assailant was involved in the attack.
📍 Bronkhorstspruit, Gauteng — 17 September
A farmworker was attacked during an incident on a farm in the Bronkhorstspruit area. Several items were stolen during the attack. Local safety structures responded to the incident, and two suspects were subsequently apprehended.
📍 Zoutpan, Free State — 19 September
A group of armed suspects targeted a farm in Zoutpan while the victims were inside the residence. The suspects fired a shot in the direction of the house before fleeing the scene.
📍 Grabouw, Western Cape — 19 September
A group of masked and armed suspects attacked a farm in Grabouw. The attackers were armed with knives and a crowbar. A man and woman were tied up with rope, and one of the victims was forced to open the safe. The suspects fled with a firearm, jewellery and electronic devices.
@afriforum
My aunt (72 year old widow) had her house broken into last night.
5 men.
Terrorised her with a gun for an hour. Broke her finger for her wedding ring, ripped her earrings from her ears. Tortured her for an hour. Ransacked the house.
We thankfully are grateful she is still alive.
South Africa is dangerous.
Friday night around 23:00 on a smallholding near Hartbeespoort, 69-year-old Maryna Scholtz heard a strange sound at the electric fence. She and her husband Paul, 67, who was already in bed, went to look. Two men had already cut through the fence and were on their property.
The couple ran back into the house. The attackers were right behind them.
Maryna and Paul grabbed a cricket bat and a cane, and fought for their lives. The two men ripped the weapons out of their hands and then beat them over the head and body, again and again.
Paul managed to snatch the cane back and smashed one of them in the knee. Only then did the cowards run. They left with a cellphone and a watch.
Both Maryna and Paul suffered head wounds. Paramedics treated them on the scene.
This is not the first time. In 2019 the same couple was attacked on their farm in the Bokfontein area. Their son was injured that night.
After this latest attack, the power went out twice in a row. Maryna said she was so nervous she could barely function, and reporting a power failure in that area can take up to three days.
This was one of at least five farm and smallholding attacks reported between 7 and 13 September in Gauteng, the Western Cape and North West.
White pensioners fighting off armed men with a cricket bat and a walking stick on their own land, while the government pretends this is “normal crime.” How many times must the same family be hunted before someone in Pretoria admits what is happening?
