@LemonLymancom Sam:
I'm just going to change my shirt.
Leo:
You look bad. You're tired. You slept in the office. It's Friday. Go home.
Sam:
Why?
Leo:
Because I think you're putting too much faith in the magical powers of a new shirt.
@prof500@DrewBMcIntyre No way to verify the veracity of this post, but sharing it FWIW, particularly in regards to any near-term services there...

If you live a legacy life, and create a legacy that extends far beyond your own life, you will impact future generations in ways you may never witness:
You will plant fruit trees whose harvest you'll never taste.
You will start projects that outlive your patronage.
You will sow seeds of change in fields beyond your sight.
You will build bridges to shores you'll never reach.
You will light beacons for voyagers yet unborn.
You will pen stories whose endings others will write.
Your echoes will ripple through time's unseen waters, beyond the shores of uncharted tomorrows.

@doriannpalmer Uh...you didn't "nap". You went to bed! π. (There are nights when I don't get as much sleep as you got with your nap!) Next time, try napping for no more than an hour and no later than 4pm. Soon, you, like Winston Churchill and me, will be extolling the value of a good nap!!
@herevrush @DylPar252 I had interpreted this differently; I thought their budgets were being reduced and as a result the total apportionment ask was reduced, but that didn't correlate to a reduction in apportionment to the local church. Basically, I thought it was a reflection of disaffiliation.
@bellabee13 It feels like this story should be preceded by, "Tell me you're an Enneagram 2 without telling me you're an Enneagram 2. I'll go first..." π
@bellabee13 "You know, not for nothing, but the people that I talk to don't believe that story, and the people that you'd like don't care." - Joe Quincy, The WEst Wing
@EastOhioDCM And, how can we more actively support efforts to address adult literacy! It's hard to fathom how anyone who is functionally illiterate can survive, nevermind thrive, in today's world!
