@dilanesper@JacobALinker How could the country as a whole be entrenched with slavery when half the country banned it? And can you list the “many” countries that banned slavery before the U.S.? Can’t think of many outside of England.
@JonahDispatch But she made the specific argument that they were protesting the items for which he campaigned (and won on). Not any old action of the president.
@thomaschattwill@annbauerwriter Can one only analyze those two issues in tandem? Seems irrelevant where the “toxic masculinity” part is, as if barrels of ink haven’t already been spilled on the subject.
@JeremiahDJohns Except “conservative rage bait” is leftist code for “anyone to the right of progressive extremists.” The FP’s views on trans issues, say, are very mainstream. People stopped listening to people like you because you started smearing normie opinions as RW.
@for3stdw3ll3r@baseballcrank I mean they waged a 50 year civic campaign to overturn Roe v. Wade and won. It’s a serious success for that movement. If the left had done something similar with the 2A 50 years ago, maybe they wouldn’t be bringing up gun control after every school shooting.
@crookeddy@tevaude@SarahIronside6 I mean the Nazis murdered six million of their own citizens and instigated the deadliest war this globe has ever seen, so how is calling conservatives Nazis not a smear? Or is it just supposed to be obvious to me?
@HistoryBoomer Coequal branches is like rock, paper, scissors. It doesn’t make sense if rock beats everything. That’s essentially what this boils down to. Also, district courts are not even mandated by the constitution, so it’s not obvious to this lawyer that judges are so empowered.
