@NHSE_WTE My patients understand that "consultant" refers to the most senior doctor responsible for their care. Using the term for non-doctors is confusing, unnecessary and contributing to a broader feeling that the UK is becoming an increasingly unserious place to practice medicine

Today BMA Chair @DrPhilBanfield wrote again to @RishiSunak to clarify if he is responsible for holding back any possible deal. The Health Secretary admitted junior drs have suffered pay erosion but offered only a sub-inflationary 5%. Clearly he has no mandate to end this dispute.
