@Dorkdonay@SageAdviceDnD I don't think you can choose to fail unless the spell description states so. But i would rule that you can give yourself disadvantage on the save if you do something about it, as your survival instinct will always try to fight the spell, but you try to control yourself.
@TheBuggman@SageAdviceDnD@JeremyECrawford Nice idea, but I'd rather add a paragraph in the Hex Warrior description, saying that if you cast the Shadow Blade spell, the benefits of Hex Warrior apply to that blade as well. It seems thematic, considering the Hexblade patron comes from the shadowfell, the same as the spell.
@JeremyECrawford@SageAdviceDnD
Can a Hexblade Warlock pact of the blade use Shadow Blade with Charisma? Maybe saying the shadowblade is his pact weapon?
@JeremyECrawford@SageAdviceDnD
Wish spell.
If i use Wish to cast Invisibility, is it cast at 2nd or 9th level? And than, does it require concentration? The spell description states "you don't need to meet ANY requirements of the spell, it just happens" so i think it does not
@BZA_Black @SageAdviceDnD@JeremyECrawford If a roll is affected by both advantage (A) and disadvantage (D), they cancel each other out. Inthe situation you presented you have one A and two D, so it still is a straight roll, unless you house rule that A/D are cumulative, in which case the roll would be at D.
@notmehahaha@SageAdviceDnD@JeremyECrawford "You don't need to meet ANY requirements in that spell, including costly Components. The spell simply takes Effect." this is from the spell description
@JeremyECrawford@SageAdviceDnD
Does assassinate feature work twice if target is surprised (turn 1, works as written) and rolls lower initiative (turn 2, target hasn't done a turn yet)?
Am i getting this wrong?
@JeremyECrawford Does this mean that a dual wielding character can attack twice with his offhand weapon?
Attack action (extra attack): weapon 1 + weapon 2
Bonus action attack: weapon 2
@MessiahMoose@SageAdviceDnD@JeremyECrawford I said cure wounds because it was the first spell that came to my mind when i thought about a spell which can be upcasted.
The real question is "what is the level of the spell if i cast it using wish?"
