There is no precedent in our union for a campaign for change to receive such depth of support from every corner of our union.

This is a fantastic achievement and I would like to thank every branch which has supported and built our campaign.

Uri Weltmann of the leadership of Standing Together in Israel sent this letter today to the Fire Brigades Union, protesting in London against the seizure by the Israeli government of a fire engine they provided to Palestinians in the West Bank. We thank our @FBU comrades!

Scottish firefighters donated a fire engine to Palestinian firefighters in the West Bank but Israel’s government has seized it to stop it being used there. London members of @FBU are lobbying the Israeli embassy TODAY 5-7pm to protest the seizure - meet @ Kensington High St!

7m Palestinians will continue living alongside 7m Jewish Israelis. They will retain 88m Iranian near neighbours, + 22m Syrians, 33m Yemenis & 5m Lebanese. Pretending there are no limits to power, & you can always live by the sword is a dangerous security concept, not resilience!
