Starmer called for basic decency, Farage deflected to the Chagos Islands and reportedly mouthed “No I won’t”.

Now Muhammad Ziauddin Yusuf and the rest scream like they own the moral high ground on threats and standards?

@LeeAndersonMP_ Verdict from a Makerfield voter. Reform picked what quickly became obvious was an unelectable candidate. Despite the money Reform threw at the election, he remained unelectable. I spoke to lots of Tory voters who couldn't bring themselves to vote for your candidate.

@JuliaHB1 As a non-affiliated Makerfield resident that is an incomplete review. The thumping win for Andy Burnham is both down to his positive message and a disastrous candidate chosen by Reform. Reform wasted huge sums on a candidate not fit for the role.

Takeaways from a non-aligned Makerfield voter. Loved feeling that my vote mattered.
Burnham's team were super efficient. Reform threw everything at this campaign weakened by poor choice of candidate. Restore focused on their leader whilst Tories voted tactically against Reform
