@QiaochuYuan It does seem to have a habit of taking maximally uncharitable readings of user messages--constantly raising objections that only room temp IQ people could ever come up with--which is deeply un-Claude-like.
Also, still straight dookie at math. But that's more expected
Are there any sportsbooks where I can still bet MLB stolen bases by top/bottom per inning? It was part of fanduel for the past 3 years (at least), and now it’s gone. I don’t see it on fanatics or draft kings either.
Why does Twitter sometimes rip tweets out from under you, straight off the screen? This seems like the most infuriating design decision ever.
Why do you hate your users?
@WillWorth@sama I was imagining that if the average person was friends with the smartest entity ever created, it could do more for them than tell them to cancel subscriptions.
Maybe the expectation is too high, or intelligence doesn't create much value for average people.
Historically, this kind of divergence between S&P 500 all-time highs and record-low consumer sentiment has occurred multiple times (e.g., post-2008 recovery periods and pandemic era). Low sentiment often follows or coincides with local economic pain, inflation worries, or inequality perceptions, while markets (market-cap weighted, tech/AI-driven) can keep rising. Data from sources like JP Morgan shows low-sentiment periods have frequently preceded stronger S&P returns over the next 12 months, though it's not predictive and gaps can resolve via economic improvement or eventual corrections. Past performance isn't a guarantee.

@charliebilello The methodology for UMich sentiment has changed. They try to correct for the massive left bias of respondents, but it's obviously not working. It has become political.
Watching the many people who have devoted decades to instigating a war with Iran reconcile to Trump’s inevitable capitulation and acceptance of a terrible deal is…really something.
@Jon__Stone Then how can they go upstairs? How can they get the cobwebs out of the upper corners of the room?
A humanoid robot can do that, it can use the vacuum cleaner just like I do.
Robots are human shaped so they can be like-for-like replacements for humans in low-skill human jobs.
You don't have to change anything, just fire the workers and put robots in instead.
I would buy one just to do my housework. I don't like dusting and hoovering.
But I don't want to rebuild my house around a weird-shaped robot like a Roomba.
If the robot is human-shape, I don't have to.
My app finally stopped working. Replies are only possible by quote tweet! Yeah it’s hard to believe someone would make a joke to insult millions of people based on geography but here we are. Bless mapbooks heart
@Jon__Stone The terms seemed so off, I thought it might be a joke, but these days you never really know!
(Not to mention how few people understand “Bless his heart” can be a genuine expression of sympathy!)
@questionableway I’m from Alabama. “Pocket money” means a small amount to carry around to buy a meal, something small. That is, it’s not for a big purchase but something you might by on the spur of the moment (or some emergency, such as gas, that you need a little cash for)

heteroclite is a person or thing that deviates from the common rule, form, or standard, essentially acting as an eccentric, anomaly, or maverick. Originally a grammatical term for irregularly inflected words, it now also describes unconventional, abnormal, or unusual behavior
