The one true God, right now, does not say “Submit and be crushed.”
Not “Run and hide.”
Not “It’s too late for you.”
But he says: “TURN TO ME AND BE SAVED, ALL THE ENDS OF THE EARTH!”
Jesus is Lord, and there is no other.
The father of seven has not finished a thought in four years. he is just moving. feeding. driving. wiping. his brain is soup and his back is finished and he has no opinions about civilization he is too tired for opinions. and meanwhile civilization is growing out of him like he is dirt and he doesnt even notice because there is milk on the floor again. the childfree man has read eleven books this year about the decline of the west and he is the decline and the books are the evidence and he will understand this at fifty eight in a room that is very clean and very quiet
Your name, O LORD, endures forever,
your renown, O LORD, throughout all ages.
For the LORD will vindicate his people
and have compassion on his servants.
– Psalm 135:13–14
The official positivist story is that judges exclude moral considerations from their rulings. The reality is that they do—inevitably so, often quietly, and in the background—and getting the morality right is no small matter. Thomas got it right. His conclusion is simply unreachable without a sound ontology and teleology. This is what it looks like when reason, nature, the common good, and the law converge—a real win for truth.
@GovTimWalz What about Christian neighbors and youth like the ones who were terrorized when agitators dangerously invaded a church service and desecrated their worship? Why don’t you value them?
For thus said the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel,
“In returning and rest you shall be saved;
in quietness and in trust shall be your strength.”
– Isaiah 30:15
Yahweh is on my side; I will not fear.
What can man do to me?
Yahweh is on my side as my helper;
I shall look in triumph on those who hate me.
– Psalm 118:5–6
One of my favorite sentences in the 1689 is ch. 2 par. 2: God does not derive any glory from creatures, but only manifests his own glory in, by, unto, and upon them.
On our best days the most we can ever be is a jar of clay.
The glory always belongs to God. Did. Does. Always.
"Every Sunday since January 18th, a group of agitators harass people on their way to worship. They target children and families." - Cities Church pastor @jonathanparnell
