How we measure activity matters! Our study shows that considering absolute & relative intensity of PA reveals key differences in age, sex & occupation-related PA patterns. Understanding both perspectives may improve PA research & interventions. https://t.co/btSDZPKsP2

Huberman: “Temperature is a powerful stimulus… Cold can be leveraged to improve mental health, physical health, and performance… for endurance exercise… for recovering, for actually improving strength and power.”
Also, Huberman:
What a beautiful day. Today we had our annual sports day at the @DSBGUniBasel@UniBasel. We had a full house. Around 300 participants, 30 teams and many interesting games. Excellent fair play and no injuries.
A big thank you to our student organising committee (Lukas Roos, Sanna Häfelfinger, Luca Grandi, Hanna Schweizer, Paolo Gomes, Benjamin Streib). Excellent job! I'm already looking forward to next year.

CrossFit is the ultimate 'Hybrid' sport, where athletes need to perform well in both strength and conditioning.
CrossFit athletes are super 'fit',
surely they must have a high VO2max right?

New systematic review by Warneke et al. in @JSHS_MedHealth challenges the traditional emphasis on stretching and foam rolling in warm-ups. Comprehensive analysis reveals no superior benefits for flexibility and stiffness over other warm-up activities!

One question: why?
MDPI publishes 426 journals... think about that, 426!
In 2022, nearly 100 MDPI journals with impact factors published more than 17,000 special issues, containing 187,000 articles... do the math!
Submitted our manuscript to a journal & BioRxiv a month ago. Still waiting on journal review (NOT sent out for revision).
Meanwhile, it's got 332 downloads & thousands of views on BioRxiv.
Tell me, what is the value of traditional journals in the age of open science?
