@Aedicule@AJPfx_ That’s a fair point. However, I don’t think a longer time to appeal would have made any difference. All the evidence was there. The decision was unanimous. Would they have even been in the playoffs if they hadn’t been spying all season?
@slbsn@djestoke UEFA analogy is fine also. The reason this has shocked so many is that it’s the first of this magnitude. Someone has to be made an example of to set the precedent. I praise the EFL on making a huge call. Would be easy to hide and take an easy option considering time constraints
@slbsn@djestoke Let’s touch on their league performance. Unbeaten in 19 wasn’t it? I wonder how. Admitted to spying on 2teams they didn’t get a result at. How convenient. One of them 23rd in the league. If you’re spying on them, you’re spying on everyone. Links directly to them getting playoffs
@AJPfx_@Aedicule It’s all if, buts and maybes. But the main point is, IF Southampton hadn’t cheated, there wouldn’t be any case to be rushed at all. You can’t just let Southampton off because it’s the easiest thing to do. It seems harsh because it’s the first case of its type
@djestoke@slbsn He won’t reply because this makes perfect sense. His only reply to someone who put a valid point across was to mention that they were a Boro fan from Teesside 🤷🏼♂️
