The v2 of my ThreeJs portfolio is live !
I was quite proud of the V1, but it felt a bit rough and many details where annoying.
It brings a LOT of enhencements:
- A whole new intro sequence
- Volumetric clouds reacting to the directional light and point lights in the scene (clouds are passing by the scene)
- Weather effects (aurora, rain, cloudy, clear sky)
- A distant terrain to add depth + birds to add a bit of life
- Smooth day/night transitions
- Huge optimizations with intelligent gpu-tier-based presets
- Collectibles
- Achievements
- UI/UX iprovements
- Better camera movements (more natural)
- An automatic Tour mode
- Some models tweaks & tricks to acheive a more polished look

@SommerChase@Aurelien_Gz I'm just getting started creating content around threejs yet :)
I'll explain most of what I did in this portfolio and share as I make it evolve or start other projects in a near future
@bruno_simon Most of thoses lines are related to the debug tool I built around the portfolio and that will help me kinda expending it to an small open world.
Currently, the real used code for the new version is something like 60k LoC :)
@Semoriil@lporiginalg Mmh, I don't like to put it this way. The question is asking for the probability to pick the right answer in a finite set of answers. But 0% is not in that set. It's not a possible answer to the question. That's why I prefer to say that there is no correct answer.
@mustache_dev@mrdoob Many people regularly posted copy/paste of those examples on different social network way before AI.
The only difference in the AI-era is that beginners don't know those examples are well known and open source when an AI spit it out ^^
