@asim_lfc Slots spent all season complaining about the players leaving and how hard it is to integrate new players etc. He’s lost more influential players already this summer. We are doomed
@asim_lfc Only way it’ll get sorted in the summer is if Slot goes. Got nothing to do with players/personal and all to do with system, patterns of play and coaching
@AnfieldWatch Didnt really play that well before though did we? Didn’t really creat much and all we do is lump it forwards from our keeper, that’s before getting started on our off the ball issues
@davidlynchlfc@Slotoholic It’s all over the pitch!! Lack of intensity and awful patterns of play playing out from back. No press so unable to win the ball back high or counter press. And ofc like you say again awful patterns of play in the final third, slow and predictable
@Slotoholic Crap, no patterns of play anywhere on the pitch, too slow, no tempo or intensity. All leads to not looking like scoring, still should be pressing higher imo
- Shockingly bad 4-2-4 mid block which was masked by a few players last season.
- No press. Bereft of players and appetite from Slot.
- No physicality.
- No pace on wings. 1v1 quality is embarrassing.
- No deep progression from backline has increased the need for a more natural DM.
- Wirtz was brought in as a 10 but was scrapped instantly.
- Profiles like Calafiori, Hincapie, Guehi etc were critical in the summer.
- Transition threat non-existent in the team.
- And now confidence is at an all time low. So yes, Liverpool need another 450m…
And a new manager. #LFC
Biggest issue right now with Liverpool is off the ball. So easy to play through, press is too staggered so leave big gaps/pockets. Combine that with how bad we are with patterns of play/fluidity on the ball playing out from the back and it’s no wonder we can’t attack
Embarrassing performance, been way off it from the start. Build up/patterns of play honk. Too easy to play against as we don’t press. Wirtz suppose to be a 10 but drops too deep and basically playing as an 8🤦🏻♂️
WHAT A START👊🏻
Starts don’t come tougher for our first game in the Prem after promotion last season than last years league and league cup winners Nags Head.
An unbelievably resilient performance from the boys saw us win 2-0 even after being down to 10 men for the last 20 mins💚
Floored. They seem so invincible. And, as a friend has just said to me, you don’t quite realise how emotionally connected you feel to these lads as individuals.
