my friend gave birth! thankfully she had to do it in a hospital because she had a complication that required induction.

in the end the pain was so bad she got an epidural, and she had a severe hemorrhage that could have killed her without intervention. her baby also had cord issues and needed support.

birth historically killed 1 woman per 100 births. this number dropped because of medical advancement, not because birth stopped being an incredibly serious medical event.

in grad school, i wrote 17 pages of a 25-page article from ~7pm - 4am. got a 98, was urged to submit it to a conference, got into the conference. at the airport, had a morning bloody mary, missed my flight, talked my way onto another airline, made it in time to present. no AI!
