2/2 I will try to share other notions in other tweets (Beats , flow..) hopefully with less drama.
In the meantime if you are looking for more resources on LD, here is a trello that agregate informations for a lot of notions.

@jeffmagers@Respawn@NextLevelDesig2 1/2 There's feedback saying this tweet oversimplifies LD, and IT'S TRUE. There are many different notions not easily explained in 280c and an image. This tweet was about a tiny portion of the orientation notion in the context of this game.
I think to be a good #gamedev, it's very important to try to understand the constraints of all departments to be able to have a betters communication / synergy between developers and craft a great #Videogame 💪💪.

@ArturHorn@80Level It's good point, but we can also cut this scene in two steps :
1- Showcase of the landmark and the narrative goal
2- The NPC attacks you which forces the rotation of the camera to fight and discover your next goal in a same time.
the video game it's dealing with constraint 😋
@PanossaYT@jeffmagers@Respawn@NextLevelDesig2 Yes at the beginning of the move you not look up, but these are MoveOntos and climbings move, which helps to have a frame on your goal at the exit of the move.
And these movements break the feeling of a straight line so for me it's a good compromise.
My interpretation 😋
@ailantd Super interesting... Without a landmark, I don't know if it's a small ship or a Master ship... It's open to interpretation depending on what you want to see. 🤩🤩
