First up, St. Patrick's. Parish founded by Irish immigrants in 1858. The current church was consecrated in 1887. St. Patt's was the first of many Catholic parishes on the West Side and has the tallest steeple in the city!

A few years ago, having one or two large multifamily residential projects underway in South Bend would have been a big deal. Right now in the city, at least 18 are somewhere in the development process, from concept to construction nearing completion.

@bf_crane There is an odd sense throughout the film that the congregation does not feel like a "parish". Small things like you say...such as I don't think anyone genuflects when entering/leaving the pews.
