I never experienced the feeling of training someone and seeing them succeed until I was tasked with teaching @dsvalverdem basic microbiology techniques. Seeing her take this project to whole another level in the 3D realm was amazing, and I am humbled to be a part of this paper.

If there's a "soft skill" I suggest any grad student, and definitely postdoc, get good at if they plan to continue wetlab work, it's learning to pick up the fracking phone and just call a Product Rep/Field Scientist and get them to help you solve an equipment or reagent problem
