2019 - laid off. Tenured Sr Sales Director.
They cut 80 of us.
This was 2 weeks after buying my first house w my wife.

WTF
2months later, after hundreds of applications, got an entry level sales job - a real sucky one.

2020 - got a new job in project management, making more money than ever before.
got laid off AGAIN

Totally lost at this point. WTF is happening.

Started contracting work, made decent money, but nothing like what i needed. I did whatever paid, delivered food, made it happen.

2024 - took a leap into a new org in another sales role.
I'm still here. I'm the top performer, and making more money that I ever have.

Why Share?
There is a LOT OF SUCK baked in there.

Getting canned can feel like a kick in the teeth - but some random corporation is not going to tell you your worth.

Do your best, don't forget who you are. Aim Up and know that God has your back. Trust him in the highs, the lows, and anywhere in between. Always trust God.
