@brent_bellamy Really happy you’re a part of this. Do you know if repurposing existing rail lines to LRT is part of what’s being explored? The CN Main Line has the perfect routing for an LRT line, with most of the grade-separation already in place.

Amtrak has a station in Grand Forks. Would love to see a Winnipeg - Minneapolis train! I would be on the first one! Would also reduce car use on road trips many Manitobans take to Grand Forks/Fargo. @Amtrak@VIA_Rail
idk why but the way ann arbor is almost perfectly contained by a single highway loop around the edge of the city is just so funny to me. are there any other north american cities like this

Metro Vancouver’s RapidBus system is anchored by three SkyTrain lines. One is being extended in two phases to replace a BRT line that has been overcapacity for around a decade. The SkyTrain replacement is creating a redevelopment boom on Broadway that BRT never could.
@ianmcc We have a similar program with significant federal funding as well. We are a couple years ahead of Calgary as we have already awarded the contract I believe. I think we should have our first vehicles in the next year or two?
