She is life.
Our future.
Our responsibility.
She is our ocean. 🌊
Though she faces growing threats, we still have the power to protect her — but we must #ActNow.
Our voices, choices and actions matter.

When I was just a boy growing up in Brooklyn, my parents knew very little of science. But they gave me an invaluable gift: an open door to curiosity.
I remember walking into the public library on 86th Street, trembling slightly with a question that had consumed my mind. I asked the librarian for a book about stars. She smiled and handed me a thin volume filled with pictures of actors and actresses. I told her, politely, that this wasn’t what I meant.
She returned with the right book. I sat down, opened the pages, and read a phrase that took my breath away: Stars are suns, only very far away.

LIVE: They are coming home.
Watch as the Artemis II crew returns to Earth, splashing down at around 8:07pm ET (0007 UTC April 11). https://t.co/n3vZE2rcFv
H.P.: You know @elonmusk is talking about you, Josh.
Josh: Oh My Days! I can’t take much more of this, I’M AN ALIEN FOR CHEESE STEAKS! 🧀
H.P.: You’re going very red, Josh, it’s a good job Professor Luni made me a good #solar shield!
Josh: It’s the cheese—way too hot today! 🥵
The Artemis II astronauts were all smiles on the flight deck of USS John P. Murtha after they were extracted from their Orion spacecraft after splashdown.
Two crews. The same dream.
Dad would have loved every second of this past week. He believed in what space exploration said about humanity: that our best instinct is to go further, together.
Safe travels home, Artemis II crew. LLAP 🖖

The SER: JSC’s front row seat to the Moon. 🌕
During the @NASAArtemis II lunar flyby yesterday, the Science Evaluation Room became Mission Control’s science hub, where experts in geology, data visualization, and crew imagery analyze lunar observations in real time. With a scrum team at the center, specialists in the Trench, and direct comms to Flight Control, the SER helps guide the crew as they capture views of the Moon and record key scientific observations. Opened in 2025, it’s JSC’s engine for rapid, mission‑shaping science.
Only ~2% of lunar craters are named after women.
As we return to the Moon, that’s starting to change. 🌕

“Everyone you meet always asks if you have a career, are married or own a house as if life was some kind of grocery list. But no one ever asks you if you are happy” - Heath Ledger
Remembering Heath Ledger on what would have been his 47th birthday.
#HeathLedger
She’s a hero to every 9 year old girl who ever looked up at the night sky in wonder and imagined herself there.
Now please excuse me while I go outside and look up and cry.
Safety first!
The Artemis II astronauts can be seen in their eclipse glasses, worn to protect their eyes when they experienced a solar eclipse on April 6. The Sun, the Moon, and the Orion spacecraft aligned — and Moon joy was had!
Please don’t pull or spray Dandelions! They are a lifeline for #pollinators on the brink, acting as a crucial early-spring food source when few other flowers are blooming. They provide essential nectar and pollen (protein) that help #bees emerge from winter.
