@chlograced@laurarw I think these new challenges have come from new social media platforms like tiktok and in that was it’s the changing of culture. But I also think it’s the kids that want to be rebellious that are doing these challenges
@emily_t22@laurarw I think it is smart for celebrities to not post their location while they are at the place because they have much more attention on them and more people tuning in. While I tend not to post where I am all the time, I don’t see as much of a risk if I post where I am.
@NicoleAnnNewman@laurarw I am worried for twitter under new ownership, the platform will definitely not stay the same. One of the first big changes I saw and something I didn’t like was that verified users will have to pay to stay verified. I think this will draw a lot of people away from twitter.
@BridgetAnneCar1@laurarw I think social media has very much impacted elections, it has allowed information to spread much faster and easier. But that means that misinformation can be spread just easily. So I think it has both positive and negative effects.
#ucengl2074@laurarw With social media being a part of new generations lives growing up, do you think that mental illness is increasing in younger generations? Why is social media so detrimental? https://t.co/RffbzZaVDo
@juliafunk01@laurarw I am somewhat concerned with companies selling and using my information, but I also think about what they would do with it. I don’t think my information would be something they could use. I don’t mind targeted ads, but it does remind me that they know my information
@Kellie_UC@laurarw Although VR might be an interesting way of training, I think playing real hockey would be much more beneficial to players. Because what happens when the technology starts glitching then you can’t train that way, and how do you translate VR hockey to real life hockey in a game
@NicoleAnnNewman@BusinessInsider@laurarw I feel that the meta verse is a very exciting creation, but right now it’s so new and people don’t have the right equipment for it, but give it a few years and it will be very popular
@ellabailey922@laurarw I feel that you can’t trust a lot of sources on social media, it’s a social media platform not a news station. So I always watch out for misinformation. If I want to look something up I will do my own research so I know I’m getting correct information .
@Maddiemmaureen@laurarw Social media can help spread information by it being shared by a multitude of people getting it around faster. And due to social media victims of disasters can set up go fund me’s and get support from people online if people are willing to support victims of natural disasters.
@KendallxWright@laurarw I don’t think it could be completely replaced, instead I think developers will create new social media platforms as time goes on that are more advanced. But I don’t think social media will ever go away.
@yung_aaron_t @laurarw NFTs confuse me, I don’t understand the reasoning for them. I think it’s just something rich people do to waste their money, and that’s okay. But I don’t think I will ever understand the reasoning.
@audreyystring@laurarw Another way it can be used to hire is if the job is in social media, by looking at their social media, you can tell if they would be good for the job. How they post would be similar to how they would post for a company.
@audreyystring@laurarw I don’t think it should be a huge factor in hiring a person for a job. But if two people are both qualified for a job I think looking at their social media could be a good way to hire a person. It’s possible to see their personality through social media, the people looking to…
@mapleleafduck@laurarw I think it’s possible to use social media without being bothered by comparison. Of course it’s natural to look at other people and compare yourself to them, but with a positive body image and confidence I think it’s easier to not be hurt by the comparisons that you make.
@emgirdler @LauraW I think since the pandemic, marketing has catered much more online. There are much more ads from all different companies. Practically every app has an abundance of ads on it. The pandemic has started that change and it has shown to be successful
@Homan94@laurarw Social media is used so much to change public opinion for better or for worse, so it’s safe to say that it cannot be trusted most of the time.
@KET2033 @laurarw I use my social media to share important events in my life including performances, since I am going into the field of performing, I do use my social media to help my career
