I'm proud of my students Braden Meyers, Nelson Durrant, Derek Benham, and Kalin Norman, who presented on their work at the IEEE OCEANS conference this week.

Three of them got into the student poster competition (16% acceptance rate), Braden won 1st & Nelson won 3rd!

Someone was just awarded a patent (in China) on our PCM paper from 2018 and it's application to visual SLAM by @lucacarlone1's group. How this got approved - I don't know!

Achievement unlocked 🙌: somebody patented our 2019 #robotics paper in China in 2022. Same claims as the paper, and some verbatim sentences. They cite the paper, and somehow the #patent was awarded!
