@kirstenweiser The year I was teaching first year cultural studies and it dawned on me that my students were born in a post-Spice World was the year I conceded that I am an Old.

The protests are disruptive? Staff member here - it was THE UNIVERSITY that cancelled classes, locked door access, even disabled the elevator (of which I got stuck inside & had to be rescued). The protestors were considerate of staff & students going about their normal day.
@snappyalligator Bianca I was so confused scrolling quickly past this (having had a very long and pleasant break from Twitter!) reading the second sentence of your tweet as your furious admonishment 🤣
https://t.co/Wbvq9ZBFAH it won’t even let me post the profile link properly here 😝 why are we coming up to twenty years of social media and still no regulated open source virtual public sphere, just endless profiteering platforms for capital 🙄
Having grown increasingly despondent with Twitter since it became X, I’ve largely left this platform. Still using Instagram, at the same handle. https://t.co/wzLC31gPop
NTEU members at UniSQ are striking today for the first time in 20 years. This has been forced on them by a rogue management seeking to strip core protections from the enterprise agreement and walking away from direct negotiations with the union. ✊✊✊💜💜💜 @NTEUnion
I worked for 2 years as a reporter in the West Bank. I called the IDF daily for comment.
They frequently denied events I had seen with my own eyes.
When I pushed back, they’d retract the denial, “look into it,” then follow up with the same line about “neutralizing terrorists.”
Duncan Maskell @UniMelb is a university in crisis.

Members of the union are at the bargaining table ready to come to an agreement, but you're not there.

Got to bring a motion for direct action targeting Duncan Maskell at a member meeting of over 400 unimelb comrades! It passed overwhelmingly! See you soon Duncan!
Hundreds of @NTEUVictoria members at today’s #UniMelbStrike, taking industrial action for secure jobs, fair pay, safe and healthy workloads and a new enterprise agreement that respects staff. ✊✊✊💜💜💜
